A licensed vocational nurse (LVN) working under the supervision and direction of registered nurses and doctors administers basic nursing care. LVNs may work in hospitals, long-term care facilities, hospice, or home/residential care facilities. Some tasks performed by a LVN can include wound care, helping bathe or dress patients, help deliver, care for, and feed infants, collect samples for testing, and much more.
